Purpose
The purpose ofthTs policy Isto articulate e standar&ed system for naming newly creat within tie limit of the City of Glendora.
It 1B the pollcy of tha City of Glendora to designate street names at the dme a new Etest Is created within the city. Creauon of euch streets may occur through approval of a tact map. a parcel map or other bland tansaction In accordance with provlslons of the subdivision map act end other applicable State or local legisleüon.

2. If the list of eligible names is the developer or other party creatlng the street may propose e name of choice farthe pnposed steel. All such names shall be approved by the Director of Planning or a designated representative thereof.
3. Proposed steet names shall be approved only In concurrence with the following principles:

Streete should generally be named after people, places, events and thinga related to the clty and citizens of Glendora. Proposed narrueg should meet one of the follwing criteria:
to honor end eommemorate nobworthy persons associated v,'lth the City of Glendora, Los Angeles
County ar the State of Cartfomla;
b, to commemorate local history, places, events or culture;
c. to strengthen naighborhood idenäty; or
di to recognize naüve wildlife, fora. fauna or natural features related to the community and to,the City af Glendora.
